Facing Faiths

Full Day – maximum 5 hours

An Augmented Reality experience with life-size banners of up to 10 faith practitioners (Baha’i, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Humanist, Jain, Jewish, Muslim, Pagan and Sikh) which ‘come to life’, with the aid of modern technology, to tell students briefly about their faith, while animation then leads the students through the story of a book, a festival and a special place for each faith.

This workshop can help you meet the requirements set out in Section 78 of the Education Act 2002 to promote the spiritual, moral, social and cultural (SMSC) development of pupils by actively promoting fundamental British values such as mutual respect and tolerance of different faiths and beliefs.

Really enjoyed it and I also learned something new. I didn’t know about Bahá’i,before!

A lovely way to incorporate new technology and an interesting way to learn about new religions. Loved that it was actual faith practitioners talking about their faiths.
